My latest painting commission and exhibitions …..

Finally, i can share with you my latest painting commission. The brief was to create a painting of  Spring, featuring a tree, blossom, celandine and also featuring 4 birds ( the family who commissioned it are the bird characters). Projects like these don’t come along very often so it was such a treat to be given it. The photo doesn’t really do it justice but you get the idea.

My bird paintings on wood have been getting a lot of appreciation which is very lovely, I only started painting again at the beginning of last year after a long break. I’ve recently sent some new pieces off to Snape Maltings, Suffolk. VK Gallery, Cambridge. Very soon i’ll be sending some more work off to Number 4 Gallery, Berwickshire. New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham and for Stratford Art Fair.

My Open Studios event at Phoenix Brighton on 7th and 8th May is coming up! My studio door will be open all weekend along with so many others. This event is only held once a year so you must put it in your diary, its such a fantastic opportunity to see behind the doors of so many talented artists of such a diverse range. I am very proud to be a member of Phoenix and I’m really looking forward to inviting visitors into my studio, chatting about my work and the processes behind it. There will also be a private view where i plan to supply some very yummy alcoholic beverages. More info nearer the time. http://www.phoenixbrighton.org/events/open-studios-2016/

One more thing …..I’m very excited to announce i’ve been accepted to take part in a very prestigious show in Kew Gardens in October, its so swish they even have a champagne private view!! More details to follow later in the year, i should have some free tickets available too.
